Teneal Kotzé

I'm a very intuitive painter and I'm all about the journey of exploration through art. My inspiration comes from the everyday moments that often get overlooked-the play of light on butterfly wings, the whisper of wind through the trees, the colour of sunset that tug at your heartstrings. These are the little snapshots of life that I aim to capture in my work.

For me, painting has always been a way to express myself and make sense of the world. From a young age, I found solace and joy in putting brush to canvas. There's something incredibly freeing about translating thoughts and emotions into visual form. It's a form of meditation for me being in the creative flow.

It was a combination of curiosity and a deep-seated need for self-expression that made me choose a career of art. As a child I was always doodling or scribbling, letting my imagination run wild on paper. Over time, that love for art grew into a passion that I couldn't ignore. Painting became a way for me to communicate thoughts and feelings, and to create poetry.
